Air Jordan 13 (XIII)
Inspiration and yearning led to the creation of Air Jordan 13. This innovative shoe made its public debut in 1997 and was followed by two retro styles.
Perhaps the thing that drew customers to the Air Jordan 13 sneakers was the five color scheme options for midway styled shoes and two color patterns for low-top shoes. There was also the signature panther’s eye hologram that garnered the attention of the masses. The Air Jordan 13 shoe was not just designed for looks but also for performance. Such is the reason for the Python midsole and Zoom Air technology that allows for better footing.
Michael Jordan certainly got the most out of the 1997 release of his sneakers brand. In fact, it was while wearing the Air Jordan 13shoes that the NBA legend beat Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s double-digit record by scoring in the high numbers for the 788th consecutive time. If that weren’t enough to convince shoe lovers to find a pair these sneakers, then you may be interested to know that the Air Jordan 13‘s were featured in Spike Lee’s He Got Game on the feet on none other than Denzel Washington.
The first retro pair of 13’s debuted in late 2004. There were 12 different pair types including the limited “Attitude Green” colorway. Additional retro runs occurred in 2011 and 2014.
